🎄 A Village for the Holidays 🌻

Because no widowed parent should have to carry the holidays alone.

The Living EXT. Foundation-ECH created A Village for the Holidays to support widows and widowers who are raising children after the loss of a spouse or partner.

This holiday season, our goal is to provide 5 local widowed families raising children with personalized holiday baskets filled according to their children's ages and individual needs.

Depending on available donations, baskets may include diapers, wipes, baby essentials, children's clothing, toys, gifts, toiletries and other family necessities.

For our 2026 holiday program, assistance is currently limited to families in the Tampa Bay area. Holiday baskets will be distributed locally; shipping is not available at this time.

🌻 Who Can Apply?

This program is for widows and widowers who are currently raising children and live in the Tampa Bay area.

Applicants must:

• Be a widow or widower who has experienced the loss of a spouse or partner
• Be currently raising at least one child under age 18
• Live in the Tampa Bay area
• Be able to pick up the holiday basket locally at the designated date and location

Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. Families will be selected based on available resources, donations and program capacity.

If you are a widow or widower raising children in the Tampa Bay area and could use a little extra support this holiday season, we invite you to apply.

Our application will ask about your household and your children's ages, clothing sizes, interests and holiday needs so that, if selected, we can create a basket specifically for your family.
